Nesbitt Park Skills Park

In the evolving landscape of South Lismore, the Lismore City Council set a transformation in motion with a vision to rejuvenate a space once filled with forgotten dirt jumps. World Trail breathed life into this vision, laying the groundwork for Australia’s pioneering integrated Mountain Bike Skills Park and Pump Track facility. This project was about revitalisation and reimagining urban trail possibilities, marking the inception of the “Mountain Bike Playground” concept.

Spanning a generous 2750 m2, the site was meticulously designed to accommodate a Skills Park stretching over 300 m, adorned with 26 bespoke features, each meticulously crafted from custom galvanised steel to foster rider development. This wasn’t just construction; it was the creation of a landscape that blended the thrill of mountain biking with the beauty of nature, offering a lush, inviting backdrop to the adrenaline-fueled challenges within. The Asphalt Pump Track, a fluid extension of the Skills Park, was thoughtfully integrated, featuring two connection points that ensure uninterrupted movement and harmony between the tracks.

Covering a 1000 m2 area with a 300 m2 asphalt overlay, the pump track presents an inclusive arena, welcoming riders of all ages and abilities to partake in the community’s newest gem, encapsulating the essence of inclusion, progression, and communal engagement.
