World Trail is looking for motivated people to join our construction teams across Australia.

You don’t need years of trail-building experience to join World Trail.

We’re looking for people with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in mountain biking, cycling, outdoor recreation and building things.

You’ll work alongside experienced Trail Builders, Machine Operators and Site Supervisors, learning how professional trails are constructed and developing practical skills that can lead to a long-term career in trail construction.

The role

As a member of our Trail Crew, you’ll be involved in the hands-on construction of mountain bike trails, pump tracks and associated infrastructure.

Your work may include:

• Hand building and finishing trail.
• Moving and placing materials.
• Shaping and finishing trail surfaces.
• Constructing drainage features.
• Assisting machine operators.
• Building trail features.
• Rock work and trail stabilisation.
• Clearing and preparing construction areas.
• Using hand tools and small construction equipment.
• Working around excavators and other machinery.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work site.
• Assisting with environmental protection and rehabilitation.
• Learning how to read and understand trail design and construction intent.

Who we’re looking for

You don’t need to be an experienced trail builder.

We are interested in people who have:

• A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• A willingness to learn new skills.
• An interest in mountain biking, cycling or outdoor recreation.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual work.
• An eye for detail and pride in the quality of your work.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• A willingness to work outdoors in all types of conditions.
• A current driver’s licence.
• The flexibility to travel and work away from home on project-based work.

Experience that will help

Previous experience in any of the following is highly regarded:

• Trail building.
• Landscaping.
• Civil construction.
• Earthworks.
• Building and construction.
• Agriculture.
• Parks and grounds maintenance.
• Excavator or machinery operation.
• Rock work.
• Carpentry or other practical trades.

But experience isn’t everything.

If you’re someone who learns quickly, works hard and wants to develop specialist skills, we’d like to hear from you.
